Day 53

Bounced out of bed this morning, made the bed, checked email and facebook, sent a text message, got dressed and hit the gym. Happy Easter!

"Time to go home and maybe shower!"

Day 52

Slammed my thumb into a doorjamb two nights ago. Still swollen and sore.

"It doesn't matter how badass I think I am, I cannot move that doorjamb with my thumb. Oww."

Day 51

Made it to the gym for the second time this week.

"It's bright out and I'm all kinds of sweaty!"

Day 50

I really hope this was done on purpose.

"Intimate Encounters: Park in Rear."

Day 49

Yeah, we'll just say nothing has happened the last 30 days.

So we went to a pizza place we've been to many times in the past. We're pretty sure this was a meeting of the "Hard-workin', man lovin', construction union local 226.

"Talk about a ghost from the past! Oh my god, I've been so depressed since you left!"

- Actual exclamation we overheard from the meeting.

Day 48

I am so far behind on this. Got my nails done today.

"Ready for a beer? I have one on my ring finger!"

Day 47

I meant to take a picture of lunch after I got the table set. But we were so hungry, we went ahead and ate before I remembered to take a picture. So here's our lunch plates.

"I used to hold yummy calzones!"

Day 46

Today was laundry day. Three loads sorted, washed, dried, and put away.

"FlyLady would be proud."

Day 45

Saw something amazing today. The driver of this semi backed up into the parking lot, all the way through the parking lot, backed around the corner, and parked. When I was a kid this was normal. These days, not so much. Music Man and I were exceptionally impressed.

"You have our respect."

Day 44

I still love my manicure from earlier this week. The polish on my thumb and middle finger is temperature changing.

"My middle fingernail was cold!"

Day 43

Music Man and I made a trip down our mountain to one of the neighboring cities. The drive is gorgeous.

"So pretty."

Day 42

Went to the gym today. This was my workout summary:

"My treadmill lies, this was not a great workout."

Day 41

Buddy and Tuffy have a bit of a love hate relationship. When Buddy first adopted us he and Tuffy cuddled and played together a lot. Buddy has since become a lot more jealous when Momma spends time petting the other pets. So today when they were cuddling we knew we needed to get a picture. We didn't actually get a picture of them cuddling but we got one of them right after they shifted.

"Look Nana, we're not hissing and snapping at each other!"

Day 38

I would have posted a picture of Music Man watching the Patriots game last night but the cable went out. He was very unhappy.

This morning, Miss Goofy had a hankering for some pancakes so she went to McDonald's and got herself some. She didn't even finish half of them. Her little dog loved them though.

"Yeah, I still don't like pancakes."

Day 37

My grandpuppy loves to play tug games with all of us. This toy is great for that.

"Grr, grr, grr!"

Day 36

It's been snowing off and on all day on my mountain. This is my window this evening as I sat down at my desk after dinner.

"Snow body knows the cold I see..."

Day 35

Miss Goofy bought a moped this past summer. Today she met Music Man and I for lunch. On the way home, I started giggling and saying, "She's so cute!" as I began snapping pictures.

"She's so cute!"

Day 34

There's a little burger joint in town where Music Man and I love to grab a quick lunch. The woman at the counter loves the fact that we're always holding hands and happy. Last time we went in she said something about needing to put a little sign up at our table. We always sit at the same table. Today when we went there for lunch this was up:

"The Love Table!"

Day 33

A good sized belly gives you a wider base for napping on your back.

"Snore!"

My house looks so naked without all the Christmas decorations.

"I need my everyday decor!"

Day 31

Miss Goofy bought a pair of pajamas for her little dog. They're a little small and he's not fond of wearing clothes.

"Mama, no."

Day 30

Step count for the day as of 10:47 this evening.

"Yeah, I hit 10,000. I'm kind of a badass, for today anyway."

Day 29

Yeah, I missed a couple of days. I'd post pictures from them but they'd just be black cause I spent a lot of time catching up on my sleep from a busy weekend. 

This morning, my daughter called me in to look at the nest on her bed.

We then called the culprit into the room. He's adorable.

"Nana, you're in my room!"

Days 26, 27, and 28

Friends of ours moved this past weekend. We left our mountain on Friday to go help them. On the way we stopped briefly at Casa de Fruta and this guy was a bit of a pest when I moved the car.

"Something tasty was behind your car!"

Saturday morning we headed into The City to get to our moving friends apartment. Miss Goofy loves this bridge.

"I'm really more orange than Golden!"

Last night it was late when we got home. I was so tired.

"I have never looked so good!"

Day 25

Day 24

Working on fitness goals. 3500 steps a day (for now), and at least 6 bottles of water.

"Kicking ass and taking names!"

Day 23

It was nail day!

"Blue with random patterns! Love it!"

Day 22

It's been cold and snowy/rainy here the last few days. We've had a lot of soup lately. This was tonight's offering Ham and Potato Soup.

"I'm full of yummy goodness!"

Day 21

This has spent a lot of time in my room recently. This particular pose was because Miss Goofy was just out of camera range. He adores her and will roll over so she can rub his belly while he purrs and kneads at her.

"Must knead this blanket to impress the girl!"
